MR, not VR

Mixed reality: hands on the real wheel, mind on the mission

MR blends the real cabin, your hands and the original controls into the virtual operational picture. The soldier stays in the vehicle – not in a sealed-off fantasy world.

The difference in day-to-day training

Controls
Classic VRControllers or virtual hands, no real haptic feedback
SIFAT MRReal vehicle controls – genuine muscle memory from day one
Orientation
Classic VRFully sealed off, instructor and crew invisible
SIFAT MRInstructor, map and team stay visible – communication as in the field
Strain
Classic VRSimulator sickness and fatigue limit session length
SIFAT MRA real frame of reference reduces nausea and allows longer sessions
Integration
Classic VRA separate island solution next to existing training
SIFAT MRRuns standalone or directly inside your stationary systems and real cabins

What MR delivers for your unit

Transfer, not habituation

What is learned in MR training holds in the real vehicle – same grips, same seating position, same lines of sight.

Faster learning

Mistakes become visible inside the situation and are corrected immediately, not only in the debrief of an abstract VR run.

Any theatre at the push of a button

Region, location, weather and threat level change in seconds – no vehicle, fuel or training ground required.

Scalable and protected

Mobile, space-saving and operable in a closed network – no cloud dependency.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which configuration fits our unit?

Stationary for fixed training centres, mobile in a trailer or container for changing locations, real cabin for vehicle-identical operation and MR for space-saving group training. The choice depends on vehicle type, drivers per year and available floor space.

Is the simulator adapted to our vehicle type?

Yes. Driving physics, cockpit layout, controls and fields of view are modelled on your wheeled vehicle type – from protected transport vehicles to medical vehicles.

How long does commissioning on site take?

Mobile systems are operational within one day. Stationary installations are handed over within a few days after setup, calibration and acceptance.

Can several locations train together?

Yes. Scenarios, vehicle profiles and scoring logic are standardised and can be shared between locations so results stay comparable.

Your simulation profile

Military trucks & logistics vehicles operating in Central Europe: Heavy vehicles with trailer and load variants, off-road gear and convoy operation. Dense mixed traffic, narrow town passages, motorway and convoy operation, winter conditions. Driving physics, cockpit and fields of view are mapped 1:1 to Military trucks & logistics vehicles, the scenario calibrated for Central Europe.

Your benefits

  • Muscle memory on the real controls of Military trucks & logistics vehicles – MR blends in hands and original hardware.
  • Repeatable scenarios from Central Europe: weather, time of day, traffic density and terrain at the push of a button.
  • Zero wear on vehicles and no training ground required – training continues on site.
  • Objective assessment per run: telemetry, events and debriefing in the driver file.

Your USP

Not an off-the-shelf product: the Military trucks & logistics vehicles profile is modelled with your instructors and verified for Central Europe – bridging mission and reality with measurably faster learning.

Evaluation

Every drive is evaluated

The simulator records every drive in full and assesses it objectively – from a single braking manoeuvre to the training progress of an entire unit. Instructors immediately see what worked and what needs work.

  • Driving behaviour

Speed, acceleration, braking, steering input, lane discipline and distance – logged to the second.

  • Rule compliance

Traffic rules, blue-light privileges, right of way, signalling and seatbelt use are checked automatically.

  • Reaction & hazard perception

Reaction times to obstacles, gaze behaviour and decisions under stress are captured.

  • Vehicle and material care

Engine speed, gear changes, clutch and brake load, fuel consumption and the effect of payload.
